Thank You, Swiggy!

Dear BC Ball Hockey Community and BCBHA Members,  

We are writing to formally announce the resignation of our President, Mike "Swiggy" Schweighardt. Mike has made this incredibly difficult decision for personal reasons. Mike has dedicated most of his adult life to the sport of ball hockey, and his unwavering passion for the game and commitment to the BCBHA have made a lasting impact on our organization. Mike has served the BC Ball Hockey community as a BCBHA executive for 20 great years. 

Throughout his tenure, Mike developed invaluable relationships within the community and held everyone accountable, fostering a sense of integrity and teamwork. The BCBHA owes a tremendous debt of gratitude to Mike not only for his years of service but for his exceptional leadership during a critical time.  

His willingness to step up as President in 2024 guided us through a transitional and tumultuous year, ensuring the association's continued growth and stability. Mike’s efforts and advocacy for the BCBHA and its members will always be remembered and appreciated. As we move forward, we encourage all community members to reflect on the positive changes Mike has instilled within our organization. 

Mike remains committed to the sport of ball hockey and the operation of the Premier Ball Hockey League. Mike will remain engaged with the BCBHA to aid in our transition and ensure continuity for the 2025 season. We encourage those who know Mike to reach out and extend their gratitude for his contributions to our sport.
